Consumer Customer’s Right of Withdrawal

Notice of Withdrawal

Withdrawal is effected by submitting a notice of withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the goods or the last batch of goods. The notice of withdrawal can be made using the withdrawal form or informally, for example by email to asiakaspalvelu@saarentaika.com. If the last day of the withdrawal period falls on a Saturday or public holiday, the notice of withdrawal can also be made on the next working day. Simply failing to collect the goods does not constitute withdrawal from the contract and does not replace the notice of withdrawal. Business and corporate customers do not have the right of withdrawal. If a business or corporate customer wishes to negotiate the possibility of withdrawal, they are requested to contact asiakaspalvelu@saarentaika.com.

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

According to consumer protection regulations, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods delivered sealed which, for health or hygiene reasons, cannot be returned once the seal has been broken or removed. Hygiene products include, for example, cosmetics, medicines, face masks, and products related to sexual health. The right of withdrawal also does not apply to goods that have been manufactured or customized according to the buyer’s requirements or clearly for personal needs (for example, custom-made items or engraved/personalized products). Distance selling rules do not apply to individual agreements for the delivery of everyday consumer goods (such as food, household chemicals, household paper, daily cosmetics), and therefore these products do not carry a right of withdrawal under distance selling. A room fragrance can only be returned if the sticks have not been dipped into the fragrance liquid. If you wish to sample the fragrance, open the plastic protective cap and smell the bottom of the cap to get an impression of the scent.

Returning Goods

The goods must be handed over to the carrier for transport within 14 days of making the notice of withdrawal. You are responsible for the return costs.

You must keep the received goods in essentially unchanged and undiminished condition in order to be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price in the event of withdrawal. You may open or unpack the product without losing the right of withdrawal in order to check the product’s characteristics and functionality, and to familiarize yourself with it in the same way as you would in a store. The product packaging is part of the product. You must handle and open the packaging carefully so that the products can be returned in their original packaging.

If you have used the product, you are responsible for the decrease in the value of the goods. If the goods have been substantially altered or diminished, the store has the right to charge an amount corresponding to the decrease in value. If the goods are unsellable due to use, the store may refuse to refund the consumer’s payment in full.

Return Instructions

You may use the return form or include the following information with the return: order number, name, address, and telephone number. The product to be returned must be carefully packed and secured so that it does not move inside the cardboard box. You may use the same cardboard box and padding in which the product was originally delivered. The order confirmation also includes instructions for making the return.

If the product is damaged on the return journey due to careless packing, you are responsible for the resulting damage. It is advisable to request a receipt for the shipment, which can be used to prove the return. Simply failing to collect the delivery does not constitute withdrawal and does not replace submitting a notice of withdrawal. We charge €15 for deliveries left uncollected. We do not accept cash-on-delivery shipments.
