Our founder Johanna struggled with skin problems, like severe eczema and allergies since childhood. Her search for relief inspired her to create skincare where Nordic nature meets clinically proven efficacy. Saaren Taika was born from this genuine need – to deliver nature-powered solutions with proven results for sensitive and reactive skin.
Today, Saaren Taika is not only Johanna’s vision but also a mother–daughter journey. Johanna’s daughter Veera has taken an important role in product development, continuing the family’s dedication to crafting effective solutions for sensitive and reactive skin. Together, they combine Johanna’s experience and Veera’s fresh perspective to create skincare that is both innovative and true to its roots.
From eczema and atopic skin challenges to the creation of the now-iconic Tea Tree Soap and the Bladderwrack Skincare line, the Saaren Taika story continues to grow—rooted in family, nature, and science.

It all began in the Finnish archipelago, where Johanna’s love for natural living grew. She believed that the less processed the ingredient, the better it preserves nutrients essential for skin renewal.

About the Company
Founded in Särkisalo, Finland, Saaren Taika is a three-generation family business and today one of Finland’s leading independent skincare brands. Our cult-favorite Tea Tree Soap, along with many other products, offers effective solutions for sensitive skin and supports a sustainable lifestyle.
We formulate for the special needs of northern skin and believe in the power of natural ingredients. Our goal is to support both people and the environment with effective, ecological products that are gentle even on the most delicate skin.
Where We Are
Saaren Taika is located in Särkisalo, in the heart of Finland’s pristine archipelago. Here, surrounded by nature’s purity and strength, our ideas and formulas are born. For us, nature provides both the raw materials and the inspiration – showing how balance and effectiveness can coexist.
Our cosmetics factory, shop, and warehouse are in Perniö, from where we ship worldwide. All our facilities run on renewable energy, and thanks to our own solar power plant, we produce green electricity not only for ourselves but also for others.
