Bladderwrack Super Serum Clinically Proven Efficasy, significantly reduced wrinkles, minimized pores, reduced skin pigmentation and redness
Share
Bladderwrack Super Serum has been clinically tested under the supervision of a dermatologist.
The study confirmed that it significantly reduced wrinkles, increased skin elasticity and firmness, minimized pores, reduced skin pigmentation, and alleviated redness and itching in eczema-prone skin. It was also shown to strengthen the skin barrier.
Bladderwrack Super Serum Clinical Study Under Dermatological Supervision
Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super Serum was tested in a clinical study supervised by a dermatologist. After only 28 days of use, statistically significant reductions were observed in wrinkle number and depth, pore size, redness, itching, and pigmentation. In addition, eczema symptoms improved, skin elasticity and firmness increased, the skin barrier was strengthened, and participants reported improved well-being.
Clinical Study of Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super Serum – Efficacy on Wrinkles, Pores, Eczema, Redness and Itching, Skin Elasticity, and Skin Barrier
How Bladderwrack Super Serum Stands Out
Bladderwrack Super Serum distinguished itself in clinical tests with exceptionally versatile results: it reduced wrinkles, enhanced skin elasticity and firmness, decreased transepidermal water loss, and had a broad impact across seven skin parameters including pores, pigmentation, redness, and itching.
–29.9% wrinkles
–18.8% skin laxity
+14.3% elasticity and firmness
–37.12% pore size
–39.56% pigmentation
–53.30% redness
–73.86% itching
–20.7% transepidermal water loss
Twenty participants is the industry-accepted standard sufficient to support clinically strong claims, provided results are statistically significant.
According to the EU Cosmetics Regulation (EC No. 1223/2009) and the Claims Regulation (EU No. 655/2013), all cosmetic product marketing claims must be based on adequate and verifiable evidence. The Commission’s Technical Guidance (2017) specifies that studies must be reliable, reproducible, and statistically significant, but does not set a minimum participant number for clinical studies.
In practice, independent research institutes such as Eurofins frequently carry out clinical in-use studies with 20 test subjects. This sample size is widely accepted in the industry as sufficient to yield statistically significant results for claims such as wrinkle reduction, improved elasticity, or reduced redness.
The key is that the study must be conducted under an approved protocol, with ethics committee oversight, and results properly analyzed statistically. This ensures compliance with EU requirements for claim substantiation and reliability.
In-Use Test Under Dermatological Control and Instrumental Evaluations
In the clinical study, Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super Serum was used for 28 days. Final assessments were carried out in the research center after approximately one month of use. The protocol allowed a time window of 28 ± 2 days, which is why both “after 28 days” and “after 29 days” are mentioned in the report.
Study Objectives
Wrinkle efficacy:
Clinical evaluations showed a statistically significant reduction in wrinkles in the crow’s feet area, forehead, and under the eyes after just 28 days.
Skin surface imaging analysis (Visioline® VL 650) confirmed a significant reduction in wrinkle area, total length, mean depth, and number after 29 days.
Pores:
Clinical evaluations confirmed a statistically significant reduction in pore size after 29 days.
Eczema symptoms and discomfort (redness, itching, pigmentation):
Redness (erythema) decreased significantly after 29 days, according to both clinical evaluations and instrumental Mexameter® MX18 measurements.
Pigmentation was significantly reduced after 28 days compared to baseline.
Itching was significantly reduced according to self-assessments after 28 days.
DLQI (Dermatology Life Quality Index) questionnaires showed a significant improvement in participants’ perceived well-being after 28 days.
Elasticity and firmness:
Cutometer® MPA 580 measurements demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in skin elasticity and firmness after 29 days.
Key biomechanical parameters supported the findings: Uf (total deformation) and Ue (elastic deformation) decreased, indicating less laxity, while Ur/Ue (relative elastic recovery) and Ur/Uf (elastic component of total deformation) increased significantly, confirming stronger elasticity and resilience.
Skin barrier:
Tewameter® TM 300 measurements demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in transepidermal water loss (TEWL) after 29 days, indicating improved skin barrier function and enhanced ability to retain moisture and defend against external aggressors.
Summary and Conclusions
Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super Serum demonstrated under study conditions:
Wrinkle reduction (clinical evaluation): Significant decrease in wrinkles in crow’s feet, forehead, and under-eye areas after 28 days compared to baseline.
Pores (clinical evaluation): Significant reduction in pore size after 28 days compared to baseline.
Eczema symptoms and discomfort (clinical evaluation): Significant reductions in redness (erythema), itching, and pigmentation after 28 days, along with a notable improvement in perceived well-being.
Skin barrier (instrumental Tewameter): Significant reduction in TEWL after 28 days compared to baseline.
Elasticity and firmness (instrumental Cutometer): Statistically significant increases in skin firmness and elasticity.
Subjective evaluations by participants of Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super Serum’s efficacy and cosmetic properties:
100% reported skin felt hydrated, nourished, soft, silky, and smooth after use.
100% reported skin looked younger, fresher, and firmer.
100% reported reduced pore size, reduced redness, reduced itching, and improved skin texture.
100% were satisfied with the product’s efficacy and willing to purchase and use it again, as well as recommend it to a friend.
Over 95% also reported a reduction in the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines.
How the Clinical Study Was Conducted
Participants: 20 approved volunteers, aged 40–70, with normal to dry, eczema-prone skin, experiencing eczema-related redness (erythema).
Protocol: Participants used Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super Serum on the face for 28 days (±2 days), morning and evening. The product was applied especially to crow’s feet, forehead, and under-eye areas on cleansed skin before moisturizer. A neutral moisturizer was permitted if needed.
Objectives: Assess product tolerability and effects on wrinkles, pores, eczema symptoms (redness, itching), pigmentation, skin elasticity and firmness, barrier function, and perceived well-being.
Evaluation methods:
Clinical evaluations of wrinkles, pores, and eczema symptoms.
Instrumental measurements:
Visioline® VL 650 (wrinkle depth, area, length, number)
Mexameter® MX18 (redness/erythema)
Cutometer® MPA 580 (elasticity and firmness)
Tewameter® TM 300 (barrier function / TEWL)
Self-assessments: itch intensity and DLQI questionnaire for well-being.
Tolerability was monitored throughout the study and confirmed as good under dermatological supervision.
The study was conducted by EUROFINS, an independent clinical research center. The study was completed in 2025.
