Saaren Taika has developed two proprietary, research-driven extracts from Baltic bladderwrack — Fucus DuoActive® and Fucus Fusion® — built on exceptionally pure, nutrient-rich biomass verified in independent laboratories. Composition and safety have been confirmed in Measurlabs’ accredited testing (Report ID 19269-1) and in compositional analyses performed by Algaia SA in France.

What makes Saaren Taika's bladderwrack different?

Independent lab results show an unusually high level of skin-beneficial polysaccharides and antioxidants in our Baltic Fucus vesiculosus: fucoidans 21.39%, alginates 12.12%, laminaran 5.79%, polyphenols 6.79%, alongside proteins (6.20%) and lipids (1.95%). In published literature, Atlantic/commercial Fucus vesiculosus typically contains ~5–15% fucoidans and ~1.5–8% phenolics, depending on season and site — indicating that our Baltic material can deliver ~30–80% higher levels of these key actives.

Verified purity and safety

  • Heavy metals: Not detected (As, Cd, Hg, Pb) in the tested sample.

  • Microbiology: Within European Pharmacopoeia 5.1.4 limits; specified pathogens absent.

  • Pesticide screen: Broad PV-SA-085 “combi-method” (QuEChERS; LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, GC-NCI) found no quantifiable residues in our tested oil sample; two analytes were observed below reporting limits (i.e., not reportable/quantifiable). The validated method covers hundreds of substances.

Our proprietary extracts power result-driven formulas. In a 28-day in-use clinical study under dermatological control (n=20; instruments included Cutometer®, Tewameter®, Mexameter®, Visioline®), Saaren Taika Bladderwrack Super serum delivered statistically significant improvements in multiple endpoints, including: wrinkles (−29.9%), pore appearance (−37.12%), skin laxity (−18.8%), elasticity/firmness (+14.3%), pigmentation (−39.56%), erythema (−53.30%), itching (−73.86%), and TEWL (−20.7%) after 28–29 days (D28 ± 2 as per protocol).
